What is the Small Grants Scheme?
The Newid Small Grants Scheme offers funding between £500 and £3,000 to help third sector organisations take the next step in their digital journey. The grant scheme currently runs once a year.
If your organisation has received direct support from Newid, you're eligible to apply. This scheme is designed to help you put into practice what you've learned through our programmes. We want to support you by providing the funds to turn ideas and plans into real action.
Who can apply?
The scheme is open to organisations that have taken part in longer-term support from Newid.
This could be
- Mentoring programmes
- Service design courses
- Full-day training sessions
- Other extended support offers
If you've been working with Newid, you're likely eligible.
What can the grant fund?
It’s designed to help these groups build on what they’ve learned, turning ideas or plans from Newid’s support sessions into real, practical actions.
Grants can support a wide range of digital improvements, including
- Purchasing equipment
- Purchasing software or subscriptions
- Staff development, such as training or conferences
- Procuring specialist digital consultancy
- Staff time to undertake digital improvement and service design projects
How to apply
If your organisation has been receiving support from Newid, you’ll automatically be informed about future rounds of the Small Grants Scheme.
The next round will open in 2026 and a member of the Newid team will contact you directly with all the details on how to apply, what’s eligible, and the deadline for submissions.
